At the end of August in Northampton UK there’s an annual gathering, a coming together.

Pilgrims come from far and wide drawn by a common vice.

This community are connected by an affinity, an addiction to all things VAG and they exercise their compulsion in fine style.

In 2013 it was a sun bathed weekend that I am glad to have been a part of.
From the first contact with the organisers to the anticipation leading up to the big weekend, it was a pleasure to be a part of.  z-IMG_4143-logo

I set off early, snatching a glimpse of slammed, pampered and perfected cars driving through town on their way to Edition which heightened the sense of suspense and expectancy.
Walking in to the main arena I was bursting with excitement and the cars that greeted me left me breathless.
The standard of cars there was staggering. Everything from a beautiful slammed Audi 100 C1 on polished Fuchs alloys to the wild VAD Porsche 997 RSR turbo and everything in between.
There was row after row of beautifully prepared and modified cars just reeking of blood sweat and tears.z-IMG_4121-logo

Whatever your flavour, be it turbo’d, supercharged, race tuned, drift, drag, or slammed there was plenty to quench your thirst.
Patina, old school, rat look, modified, standard, show or go, Edition 38 had the best of all of them and more.

As the sun set the tunes kicked in. The atmosphere was just sublime. It was like spending the evening with hundreds of your friends with the best backdrop you can imagine.z-IMG_4189-flare-logo

It was a genuine pleasure to attend Edition 38 2013 and next year, if they’ll have me, I’ll be getting down and dirty and camping for the weekend.z-IMG_4142-logo-banner
